There is very little I can say that hasn’t already been said about Jack Layton. I met Jack about five times and our conversations were always brief, but I always walked away satisfied that the interests of Canadians were well looked after with Jack around.
Many of us will continue to mourn Jack’s death for some time. And many people have asked: Who can take on the task of fighting for a better world as well as he did? Jack, himself, answered that question in his final letter–WE can. Each and every one of us has the power to build a better world.
Today, I am more inspired than ever to carry on the dream that Jack had, and that I share with him.
God bless you, Jack. R.I.P.

“My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world.”
