Big thanks for coming out to the Blitz!

Sunday, January 9th, 2011

I just want to say thanks to all who came out to do the Canvass Blitz (Blizzard!). Constituents appreciated that we were out on the doorsteps despite the elements.

At times, depending what direction we were heading, it felt like our faces were going to fall off. Constituents were generous and invited us in to warm up and we had a chance to talk about the issues challenging our province.

Overall it was a positive day and a great exercise in testing our enthusiasm and perseverance. After we finished canvassing, my mother was kind enough to prepare Salvadoran Pupusas and a Tres Leches cake for dessert.

You couldn’t tell by the weather, but it was a great, fun day

Thanks again!

Season’s Greetings!

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

In this special time of year, I want to express my sincere thanks for all your continued support.

As we celebrate the holidays, it is a time when we can all step back from our daily routines and appreciate what is truly important in our lives: family, friends, health and peace. Let us also keep a special place in our hearts for those less fortunate.

This year my family and I took a very important decision in seeking the NDP nomination for Coronation Park. Back in June of this year, we were successful in achieving that first step in this journey. Since then, we have been hard at work and we continue to make positive strides. The upcoming year has many challenges ahead, but I am happy to say that we are well prepared and with people like you by our side, the outcome will be very positive for us.

Once again, I want to thank you and wish you the best over the holidays. Saskatchewan is a diverse place and it is within that spirit that I wish you a happy new year and may your faith, family and friends guide you to a prosperous 2011.

Sincerely,

Jaime GarcĂa
